Resin driveways that look smart every day

Resin bound surfacing gives a seamless finish without individual joints or patterns. The natural stone and resin are mixed together and laid as one layer, creating a driveway that feels solid underfoot and stays tidy all year round.

Most resin driveways we install are for normal family homes and bungalows, not show-home displays. The goal is simple: a driveway that looks sharp on a Monday morning, is easy to sweep and pressure wash, and holds up to daily parking without rutting, loosening or looking tired.

Good groundwork under every resin driveway

The long-term result depends on what sits underneath. We don’t rush the hidden part: excavation depth, MOT Type 1 sub-base, compaction, clean edges and correct falls for drainage.

If your surface is already tarmac or concrete and still solid, a resin overlay can be a smart way to refresh the drive without a full dig-out. If the base has failed, we’ll say so plainly and explain a rebuild properly.

Resin colours to suit your property

Resin bound driveways come in natural stone blends that suit both modern and traditional homes. Warm golden and brown mixes work well with Kent and Sussex brickwork, while silver, grey and charcoal blends suit cleaner Surrey-style finishes.

Edging can be finished in brick, block paving, stone or concrete kerbs. The right edge frames the driveway neatly and keeps the resin locked in place.

Resin driveway installers across Kent, East Sussex & Surrey

We install resin bound driveways and resin overlays across the South East, including Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and the Medway towns in Kent; Uckfield, Heathfield, Crowborough and surrounding villages in East Sussex; and Reigate, Redhill, Dorking, Oxted, Guildford and nearby Surrey areas.

Before quoting, we look at how you use the driveway, the condition of the base, access for materials, levels and where surface water currently goes. That’s how you end up with a drive that lasts — not one that needs patching in two winters.

When resin is a good choice

Resin bound surfacing is a strong fit if you want:

  • A clean, modern look with no visible joints
  • Natural stone colours that match the house and garden
  • A surface that’s smooth underfoot and easy to sweep
  • Good drainage through the surface when laid on a suitable base
  • A driveway that stays tidy without loose stones spreading

If resin isn’t the best option for your layout, we’ll say so. Sometimes fresh tarmac is the sensible answer, or tar & chip for long rural access drives. You’ll get honest advice, not a sales push.

Resin driveway questions

Can you lay resin over old tarmac or concrete?

Yes, as long as the existing base is solid, not cracked or moving, and drains properly. We inspect first and only overlay when it’s sensible.

How long do resin driveways last?

With the right base, correct falls and tidy edging, resin bound driveways are built to last for years. The key is preparation — which is why we focus so hard on groundwork.

Do resin driveways get slippery?

Resin bound surfacing has a natural textured finish from the stone, so it provides grip in normal wet and frosty conditions. We still check slopes and drainage to keep things safe.
